Your Excellency,

On February 27, 160 days after the start of the democratic revolution of Iranians, the foreign minister of the criminal and terrorist regime of the Islamic Republic will attend the meeting of the United Nations Human Rights Council. Hossein Amir-Abdollahian represents a brutal gender-Apartheid theocratic regime that seized power through deception, coercion, and fraud elections and does not have legitimacy. In the past 44 years, this regime has trampled Iranian citizens’ most basic human rights and individual, social, and political freedoms.

Since the start of the protests on September 16, 2022, IRI has killed more than 600 innocent protestors, 60 children aged between 10 and 17. Over 20,000 demonstrators have been arrested, tortured, and raped, and several were brutally hanged. Amir-Abdollahian is the representative of a regime that tortures and kills women for not wearing hijab properly. A regime that has banned women’s right to choose their lifestyle, dance, and sing. A regime that has killed tens of thousands of Iranians in the last 44 years and has the highest number of executions in the world.

IRI is a terrorist regime whose crimes exceed the borders of Iran and causes the massacre of innocent people in Iraq, Syria, Ukraine, Afghanistan, and Yemen.  Iran’s Islamic regime helps Bashar al-Assad’s Government, and the Houthis massacre Syrian and Yemeni people, including children. IRI arms Russia with drones and equipment against Ukrainians and provides terrorist groups such as Hamas and Hezbollah with weapons destabilizing the peace in the Middle East.

As members of the “Revolutionary Council of Dadkhahan,” whose loved ones were murdered by this regime, we ask you to leave the council hall during Amir-Abdollahian’s speech to show solidarity with the Iranian freedom fighters and respect for justice and human rights.
