Javad Safar was born in 1963 in Torbat Heydarieh. Javad had immigrated to the Netherlands but returned to Iran during Khatami’s Presidency. Two years after his return to Iran, Javad was kidnapped in Torbat Heydarieh and was never heard of again. Javad is one of the victims of what became famous as the “Chain Murders of Iran.”
