This knowledgeable source adds: “The security forces put pressure on the family and conditioned the release of Navid’s body to bury him in Mahwizan (his father’s village).” Navid’s body was kept in the medical examiner’s office, and all body parts were cut open. Also, the security forces took a pledge from Navid Behbodhi’s father that he should not complain about Navid’s death in any way; otherwise, the body would not be handed over to them.
On Tuesday, November 19, 2019, the Behboudi family, who were not allowed to bury their son in Quds, moved Navid’s body to Mahwizan village near Gorab Zarmikh in the northwest Gilan province, accompanied by security officers and under severe security measures.
