Hamed Farmand is a children’s rights activist and the founder of Children of Imprisoned Parents International (COIPI). He was born and raised in Iran before moving to the United States in 2010. At the age of six, Hamed’s mother was arrested in Iran for political reasons. He authored a book in Farsi titled “Missing Mum”, which recounts his childhood experience. Hamed serves as a board member for the International Coalition for Children with Incarcerated Parents.
