Born and raised in Amol, North of Iran, near the Caspian Sea.
I studied at a school in Amol and graduated from Kashan University with a double major in literature and journalism. I was working as a journalist in Tehran. After the defeated student movement, I had to leave the country after the regime arrested two of my brothers, Manouchehr and Akbar. I went to Germany and lived there for over a year. I tried to be the voice of all students in jail, so I traveled and met with many European parliament members, including Mr. Solana’s assistant. I have close relations with most Human rights organizations and amnesty international.
I am a proud American citizen. I am an Iranian Americana and a republican. I have been a member of the student movement for freedom and democracy in Iran.
