Pejman Gholipour Malati (born on August 29, 2001 – passed away on November 17, 2019) was an Iranian protester who was shot dead by the forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran during the November 2019 protests.
Pejman was born on 29 August 2001 in Langerood. He had just finished high school and was a fan of the Esteghlal soccer team. Due to his interest in the Esteghlal soccer team (Taj team), Pejman named his Instagram page “Pejman Taji.”
On November 17, 2019, the third day of public protests against the gasoline price increase, six days before his elder brother’s wedding, Pejman left home to buy a suit for his brother’s wedding. Pejman was shot dead by security forces among the protesting crowd, in Marlik Karaj, with five bullets, three to the chest, one to the heart that came out of his back, and another bullet hit his eyebrow. The body of Pejman was buried on Sunday, November 24, 2019, in the village of Malat, Langrod.
